Join in the Halloween fun and help us host a great community day! We’ll transform
our church building into a safe space for trick-or-treating. Please remember our
no nuts/peanuts policy – read labels. Dress up to add to the fun. There will be
prizes for best-decorated trunk and best costume! Contact Elaine Dawson
for more information and to sign up today!

Come see all the baskets on display each Sunday in the Library area. Winners will
be announced at the end of the Bazaar.

We need your slightly used Christmas decorations and items of good quality for our
Tiffany table. Please leave donations in boxes under the pews in 114 labeled either
UMW or Bazaar. We also need help to work the Bazaar tables, on Sat and possibly

Super Saturday Church Conference Oct. 28 from 8:45-11:45 am
This year, all churches from the Central Region of the GNJAC are conferencing and
worshiping together. Churches will gather at Calvary Korean UMC (572 Ryders Ln,
E. Brunswick), meet separately for their church conference meetings (all full members
have voice and vote), and unite for worship and plenary led by Rev. Tony Campolo.
If you are interested in carpooling, please arrive at the church parking lot no
later than 7:45 am.

All Saints Sunday November 5
All Saints is a day of celebration and remembrance for the saints in our lives.
On Nov. 5th, we will observe All Saints Day in worship by reading the names of
the newly baptized as well as the names of those in our church family who have died
during the past year. If you would like to add anyone to our list, please email
Sheila Leavitt, sleavitt@umcredbank.org, before Tuesday, October 31st.

Worship Sneak Peek
Join us this Sunday (10/29) for the final week in our worship series called “Put
Your Whole Selves In.” Being part of a church means more than simply showing up
on Sunday mornings. When we say YES to church membership, we make a promise to
God and each other to support the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service,
and witness, but we rarely take the time to discuss what that means and looks like
in our own lives. This series will reflect on how we can live our faith within the
life of the church in a way that puts our whole selves in, transforming us from
the inside out, and giving God our very best!
As we wrap up our series, we look to the ways we share our faith, inviting others
to join us on the journey. While “evangelism” has gained a bad reputation for many,
we are called to bear witness to God’s love and hope with our neighbors. What does
that look like in your life?

healthy community. He sees the tensions and struggles that build up when even the
most well intentioned people come together in a community and he responds with recommendations
for how to transform imperfect community into manifestations of the Kingdom of God.
Together, we will explore Jesus’ lessons on conflict management, forgiveness, and
unconditional grace and see where to apply them to our Imperfect Communities.
