What is GoodSearch?

GoodSearch is an internet search engine, like Google or Yahoo. If you specify the church as the organization that you are supporting, we get a penny every time you use it. With enough people participating, that can add up to something.

It's easy to use: just go to www.goodsearch.com and enter "United Methodist Church of Red Bank" in the box under "Who do you GoodSearch for?", then click the "Verify" button. Then, whenever you want to do an Internet search, go to this page to do it. You'll get search results from Yahoo, but UMC Red Bank will benefit as well. Click "Amount Raised" to see how we're doing.

Consider making GoodSearch the home page for your browser – the page you start with whenever you start it up.

To do this for the Internet Explorer browser:

• Under the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
• Then on the General tab, type http://www.goodsearch.com in under the Home Page section.
• Click Okay.

For the Firefox browser:

• Under the Tools menu, select Options.
• Click Main at the top of the window, then type http://www.goodsearch.com in under the Home Page section.
• click Okay.
